Technical Demonstration Prep List
Your Recruiter has scheduled you for a Technical Demonstration as part of your interview process. This will be a hands-on, evaluation that will help us understand how we can best support you.
What to Expect:
We’d love for you to bring in a live model or let us know if you would like to use a salon provided manikin head to demonstrate your skills.
Plan to demonstrate:
- Color application (retouching & virgin hair)
- Foiling (slice & foil weaves)
- Clipper Cut, Blunt Cut & Short Layer Cut finish with Blow Dry Style
- A haircut with clippers and shears. Cut as short as 1 inch in the nape and maintaining 2 inches or longer on the top.
- A blunt cut removing 2 inches and then layers that are 5 inches or longer.
What to Wear:
On the day of your Technical Demonstration, please dress in all black and bring the following tools.

- Blow Dryer
- Foiling Combs
- Cutting Combs
- Styling & Detangling Brushes
- Shears
- Clippers with guard attachments and neck trimmers
- Sectioning clips
- Spray bottle
