1. ELIGIBILITY: There is no obligation to you, monetary or otherwise, for a chance to win. At the time of entry and at the time of the delivery of the prize, you must be an active beauty school student or licensed salon professional located in the states of: Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.
2. SPONSOR: HC Salon Holdings, Inc. d/b/a Hair Cuttery Family of Brands (the “Sponsor”). The prize supplier is the Sponsor. Officers, directors, managers, and employees of Sponsor, and each of its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and related companies (collectively the “Sponsor Entities”), as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such person are not eligible to participate.
3. TIME TO ENTER: A chance to win the prize in the ABS Drawing (the “Drawing”) begins at 11:00:01 a.m. Central Standard Time (“CST”) on April 5, 2025 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. CST on April 7, 2025 (the “Entry Period”).
4. HOW TO ENTER. To enter, beauty school students attending the ABS show in Chicago on April 5, 2025, through April 7, 2025 (“Entrants”) should visit the Sponsor’s landing page at https://jobs.haircuttery.com/abs-2025/ on the Sponsor’s website. Entrants will then be required to provide the requested information to enter and click “submit”. The entries must be received during the Entry Period. There is a limit of one (1) entry per Entrant during the Entry Period. Any attempt by an Entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different identities, and/or any other methods will void that Entrant’s entry and that Entrant may be disqualified from the Drawing. Entries submitted by anyone other than the Entrant are void. In case of a dispute as to the identity of any Entrant, entry will be declared made by the registered name and address on such entry. Any potential prize winner may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that such person is the prize winner.
Neither Sponsor nor any Sponsor Entity is responsible for any entry that is late, incomplete, corrupted, invalid, unintelligible, or misdirected, whether due to system errors, omissions, interruption, deletions, defects, delay in operations or transmissions, fraud, theft or destruction or failures, faulty transmissions or other telecommunications malfunctions, human error, entries not received resulting from any hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete or garbled computer or telephone transmissions, typographical or system errors and failures, faulty transmissions, technical malfunctions, or otherwise. Only fully completed entries are eligible. Proof of submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor or Sponsor Entities.
Entries posted after the Entry Period will not be considered.
5. DRAWING/ODDS. Potential prize winners will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received by the Sponsor. One drawing will be administered by Sponsor on April 5,2025, April 6, 2025 and April 7, 2025 from the eligible entries collected on the Sponsor’s landing page during the Entry Period. All Entrants are eligible to win at any of the three drawing, except to the extent an Entrant wins any of the daily drawings. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for the Drawing. By entering the Drawing, Entrants fully and unconditionally agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and Sponsor Entities, which will be final and binding in all matters relating to the Drawing.
6. PRIZES: One (1) Winner will be selected each day of the event as noted in Section 4 and will win one (1) Cibu® Product Gift Basket valued at $270.00. Winners will be selected each day a drawing occurs.
Entrants need not be present at the time of the drawing. Winners will be contacted via a text message at the phone number provided on the entry form.
7. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: Limit of one (1) prize per person. Prizes are non-negotiable and not redeemable for cash, credit or merchandise and may not be extended, transferred or substituted, except that the Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value when necessary, as determined at its sole discretion. The prize must be claimed or redeemed within ninety (90) days of notification or it will be forfeited.
8. NO LIABILITY: Entrants and winners, by their participation in the Drawing and/or acceptance of their prize, agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless, the school, the product suppliers, the Sponsor, the Sponsor entities, and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliates, and each of their employees, directors, officers, representatives, agents, attorneys, sponsors and advertisers, from any and all liability, loss, damage, costs or claims relating to the Drawing. Entrants and winners acknowledge that they have no ownership rights in the submissions, their survey answers, can receive no compensation for use of the ideas, videos or content, if any, and have no approval rights in how the ideas, videos or content are used. The prize will be forfeited and awarded to another eligible entrant if selected winner is not eligible in accordance with these rules. Each winner assumes all applicable federal, state and local tax liability for their prize. EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW, PARTICIPATION IN THE DRAWING CONSTITUTES ENTRANT’S GRANT TO SPONSOR, AND THE RELEASED PARTIES ABOVE THE RIGHT AND PERMISSION TO PRINT, PUBLISH, BROADCAST, AND USE, WORLD WIDE IN ANY MEDIA NOW KNOWN OR HEREAFTER DEVELOPED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WORLD WIDE WEB, AT ANY TIME OR TIMES, THE ENTRANT’S ENTRY, ANY MATERIALS OR IDEAS SUBMITTED THEREWITH, NAME, PORTRAIT, PICTURE, VOICE, LIKENESS, OPINIONS AND BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HOMETOWN AND STATE) FOR ADVERTISING, TRADE, AND PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES (INCLUDING THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF HIS OR HER NAME ON TELEVISION OR RADIO BROADCAST) WITHOUT ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATION, COMPENSATION, PERMISSION, OR NOTIFICATION.
Entrants acknowledge that Sponsor has no obligation to use the submitted materials or any likeness, and agrees no further approval is required for Sponsor to use any submitted materials or likenesses, that no further consideration will be due for Sponsor’s use of the submitted materials or likenesses, and that Sponsor will not be liable for any distortion or illusionary effect resulting from the exhibition, publication or broadcast of the submitted materials or likenesses. It is agreed that all results and proceeds derived from Sponsor’s use of the submitted materials or likenesses are the sole and absolute property of Sponsor in perpetuity and Sponsor has the unlimited right throughout the universe to edit, modify, and otherwise use such materials.
9. MISCELLANEOUS: Entrants agree to be bound by these rules. Drawing rules shall be governed and enforced pursuant to Virginia law, excluding choice of law provisions. Offer void where prohibited or restricted and subject to federal and state laws. For the name of the prize winner(s) or a copy of these Official Rules, please email [email protected] and you will be given information on where to send a self-addressed, stamped envelope. You must do so by May 31, 2025. Please include in the subject line of the email: “HCFB’s ABS Giveaway” (please specify “Winner’s List” or “Rules Request”).
